In my abstract work, I aim to capture the complexities of the human experience, with a particular focus on the exploration of Black identity and the multifaceted nature of Black femininity. Through my art, I seek to evoke emotion, provoke thought, and transform the atmosphere of any space.
My creative practice is an open and boundless exploration, where I embrace free expression and challenge traditional boundaries of education and experience. Each piece is a moment in time, a reflection of my voice, perspective, and inner world.
Inspired by the metaphysical, psychology, and spirituality, I employ a rich color palette and layered textures in my mixed media approach to create a profound connection with viewers. My work is intended to inspire a sense of spiritual resonance and cultural reflection, inviting audiences to see themselves within the art.

Beauty in Darkness
Beauty In Darkness is a monochromatic mixed media series created with a minimum of four layers of acrylic paint, yarn, plastic, mesh, ink, spray paint, leather, wire, and paper. The sentiment behind Beauty in Darkness is in its most literal and figurative terms. The perspective of Black Americans’ existence can be viewed as beautiful in our resilience and also ugly because of our societal mistreatment. We are beautiful and necessary. The textures and layers of the painting are an exaggeration of how we adorn ourselves in style and dress. The layers and the use of materials are examples and represent the spiritual and emotional depth of our existence.
Beauty in Darkness also explores healing through introspection, transformation, and rebirth. The work reflects the layered, often unorthodox process of becoming whole, holding both pain and beauty at once. Through rich textures and materials, the series speaks to the resilience, complexity, and necessity of human transformation and Black existence, honoring both the struggle and the strength that shape our identity.
Divine Feminine embodies vulnerability, sensuality, spirituality, femininity, and power in harmonious balance. She reclines upon a bed of flowers that cradle and honor her delicate essence. Within her softness lives her strength—she radiates confidence through vulnerability, demonstrating that openness itself is power.
She is buxom, bouffant, and beautiful. Lush in presence and unapologetic in form. Around her neck rest metallic emblems: the ankh and Nefertiti, symbols of royalty and the sacred key of life. She is hydrated and fruitful, deeply connected to nature, existing as the key of life in her most honest and authentic expression.
Her body is rendered in acrylic, interwoven with wire and yarn. Structured yet soft, resilient yet tender. The surrounding flowers are hand-cut paper images sourced from magazine catalogs, forming a layered garden that merges the organic with the constructed, the ephemeral with the eternal.
The series represents various aspects of femininity and womanhood- passion and sexuality in "Hot A** Yoga", emotional and grounding in "Vulnerability" and free spirited, creative and transformative in "Black Butterfly".

Black Power Black America is a 6-foot mixed media work of art that reflects the experience of Black Americans. The work honors the strength and boldness of Angela Davis and Malcolm X. The stripes tell the story of our fight for equality during the Civil Rights era, is the same fight we are in today.
The art contains original Black Panther papers from the 60s and 70s, original Ebony, Life, and Jet magazine clippings from the 60s and 70s. The texture includes glass, wire, mesh, yarn, paper, wood, plastic, and acrylic paint on canvas.
